The Universe of Yashoda’s Love

(Based on “यशोदायाः प्रेमब्रह्माण्डम्” of Ranmoti)

In Nanda’s home there lived a mother,
Who showered love like nectar upon her son.
Through her love, the whole wide world
Seemed to dissolve in Krishna, her little one.

Seeing him eat the earth, she questioned him,
“Why do you eat the soil, my child?”
He opened his mouth before her eyes,
And there she saw a universe vast and wild.

Not merely dust, nor a child’s playful deed,
But Sun and Moon and stars appeared.
Mountains, rivers, earth and sky,
And endless oceans all were spread.

All that moves and all that rests,
Within Krishna’s little mouth she found.
Not just his mouth, but through her love,
The form of the universe shone profound.

Where love is pure, the sight turns divine,
A mother sees the world within her child.
And in that child, the world she sees,
With love so boundless, tender and mild.

A heart filled completely with love
Knows neither boundary nor end.
Krishna lived within Yashoda’s love,
And in Krishna, all worlds transcend.

He was Nanda’s little child,
Yet Janardana, the Lord revered.
Through his mother’s boundless love,
The whole vast universe appeared.
